Week Five

Week four of the internship was one of a lot of stress.
My Plan of Approach needed to be send to my teacher on Friday.
On Tuesday my supervisor let me know, she wanted to discuss the Plan of Approach next week, she didn't have any time before this.
But Mrs. Luck was on my side, when Cameron asked me if he could read it and give some feedback. Which he did, he gave me a hardcopy the next day.
I could make some changes to my plan of approach and by Friday I could send it to my teacher.
On Friday we also went to New Plymouth. Rob a guy in an appgroup with only Dutchies (and Belgium Tuur) asked us if we want to join him to climb Mt Taranaki, which we (Dave, Tuur and I) did.
Tuur drove us all the way to New Plymouth, with some detours (we love them :P ). In New Plymouth we met with Isa and Rob, who did travel from Wellington. After a good night of sleep, we prepared ourselfs for a climb of a life time.
While all the signs noticed 8 till 10 hours up and down, Rob sayed he could do it in 6.
The climb went well untill we came to an climbing area which were only pebbles and gravel. This slowed our climb down. But after almost 4 hours we made it to the summit. Here we rested for a while and then climb all the way to the top!
After enjoying the view, watching a paraglider jump of at the summit and taking some pictures, it was time to climb down.
After climbing, gliding, sliding and falling over, we finally made it back to the car, in 7,5 hours.
That night we grab some fish and chips and enjoyed the sunset by the beach. This was the real life.
The next day, we went to one of the surf beaches near New Plymouth (I forgot the name). And watch some kids and adults get their first surf lessons. Tuur tried to enter as well, but you could only enter if you take more then one lesson. After the beach, we drove to a famous waterfall near Mt Taranaki, before we said goodbye to Isa and Rob.
With some good mood, We traveled back over the "Forgotten Highway". Which honoured its name. Every town we passed looked like it could fit in a western film.
At the end of the day Tuur dropped me of at my flat. The week was finished on a high note. Up to next week!
